Privacy policy
We store what the product needs to work and nothing we would be embarrassed to explain. Last updated September 2026.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, company, state, password hash, plan and membership records.
- Product data: watches, saved searches, alert preferences, usage counts (briefs, exports, searches, API calls), team seat assignments, API key hashes.
- Messages: contact, newsletter and report requests you send, with a hashed network address for rate limiting.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept by the hosting provider for security and debugging. If analytics are enabled, anonymized page-view statistics.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your bid documents, pricing, drawings or proposals. We do not read your email. We do not buy or use third-party contact lists. Payment card numbers go to Stripe and never reach our server.
Why we use it
To run your account and plan, to send the alerts and reports you asked for, to answer your messages, to keep the service secure and within its limits, and to understand which parts of the product are used so we can improve it.
Who sees it
The hosting provider (servers and database), Stripe and Paid Memberships Pro (payments), the email delivery service (alerts and transactional mail), and the AI provider (the public notice text and your plain-English question when you ask for a brief or a search; never your account details). Each is bound by its own privacy terms. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account and product data for as long as the account exists, then deleted within 90 days of closure on request. Messages for two years. Server logs on the provider's rotation, typically weeks. Alert history for 90 days.
Your choices
You can change or delete watches and saved searches at any time. Every alert email has a one-click stop link. You can ask us to export or delete your account data by emailing hello@lastawarded.com from the account's address. You can decline analytics cookies with your browser settings; the product itself works without them.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in. A preference may be stored in your browser to remember filters. If analytics are turned on, the analytics provider sets its own cookies with IP anonymization enabled.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we email account holders before it takes effect. Questions go to hello@lastawarded.com.
