Public data, shown as published, with our resolution and scoring on top. Here is what that means for accuracy. Last updated September 2026.
Sources
Everything in the service comes from SAM.gov (contract opportunities and the entity registry), USASpending.gov (award data) and FPDS.gov (contract actions), read through their public interfaces. We add vendor resolution, classification, a recompete score and AI-written text. We add nothing from any private source.
Known limits
- Award data is published with a lag that varies from days to weeks. Recent awards may be missing or incomplete.
- Source records contain errors entered by contracting officers: misspelled names, wrong codes, end dates never updated after a modification.
- Vendor resolution can merge two businesses that are actually separate, or leave one business as two records. Every profile lists the names seen; tell us when something is wrong.
- The recompete score is a sorting aid built from published fields. It is not a prediction and not advice.
- AI-written briefs, summaries and search interpretations can misread the text they are given. They are labeled and should be checked against the original notice.
- Office names, options and competition fields arrive with award detail records and are not present on every award.
What to check before you act
Read the solicitation on SAM.gov, including every amendment. Confirm the set-aside and your size against the NAICS size standard. Open the award record on USASpending or FPDS for the exact obligated amounts and dates. Ask the contracting officer anything the notice does not answer.
