The clearest opening in federal contracting has a date on it
The 8(a) programme runs nine years and cannot be extended. Inside it a company can be handed sole-source contracts nobody else may compete for. On the day it graduates, that stops. An 8(a) incumbent holding work that runs past its own certification is the most legible opening this record contains, and the incumbent is the last party with an interest in mentioning it.

Sorted by the gap, not by the money
Every row is one contract and one company: when the certification ends, when the work runs to, and how many months of the work sit past the date. A buying office with a three-year contract and an incumbent graduating next spring already knows it has a problem to solve, which is exactly the moment a capability statement is worth sending.
Filter by your codes, by buyer, by the incumbent's state, by whether the certification has already ended or ends within eighteen months.

- The end date from the award record, with options counted
- Integrity records flagged on the same row
What a company has been accused of, and what came of it
FAPIIS holds criminal, civil and administrative proceedings connected to federal work: terminations for default, non-responsibility determinations, defective pricing, administrative agreements. A contracting officer is required to read it before deciding whether a company is responsible, which makes it the most consequential single fact you can know about an incumbent or a teaming partner.
It is on every company page here, next to the award history it belongs beside.
checked before a teaming partner is ever suggested
An empty record is not a clean record, and this site says which
FAPIIS is reported only by companies above a threshold, broadly more than $10 million in active federal awards. Below it a company reports nothing and its record looks identical to a spotless one. Records also drop off after five years. And a record is only read once somebody asks for it, so a third state exists: nobody has looked yet. Three states, three different sentences, and no screen in this product collapses them. A proceeding is also not a finding, and a disposition of "settled" is not an admission.
