What you learned, kept beside the record it is about
The record says what the government published. What you heard on a call, who said what and why you passed on a notice is the part only you know. Notes keep it on the record it belongs to. Compare sets two companies side by side, so where they differ is the first thing you read.
Notes on any record
A Notes card sits on the page of a company, an agency, a buying office, a notice, an award, a vehicle and a person. Write what you learned and save it. The note shows who wrote it and when. You can edit it, delete it, or pin it so it stays first.
Notes belong to your account. Only people on your account see them. Nothing you write is added to the record or shown to anybody else.
Every note in one place
The Your notes screen lists everything your account has written, newest first, with the record each note is on one click away. Search the words, filter by what the note is on, show pinned notes only, or turn the order round. Those choices are remembered. The page prints.
It is reached from the Notes card on any record and from the Ctrl-K palette.
Two companies, side by side
Open a company and press Compare with, then find the other by name, UEI or CAGE. The screen opens with which of the two has won more, and on how many awards.
Under that is a short list headed Where they differ, in plain sentences: one is on the federal exclusion list and the other is not, one has won at least twice as much, an office where one is much bigger, a set-aside only one has won under, a vehicle only one holds, a small business registration only one has. It is a reason to look, not a ranking.
Then the two companies in two columns, with the same figures in the same order: where they are, primary NAICS, awards on record, total won, average award, the years they were active, contracts ending in 24 months, vehicles held, money paid to and received from subcontractors, and the exclusion list. Below those are what each won by fiscal year, its largest buying offices, the codes it wins in, how it won and its certifications.
From either side you can open the company, open its awards, watch it, or put another company in its place. Your notes on each company sit under its column. The last two you compared are one press away the next time, and the page prints.
Where it stops
Notes and Compare come with every paid plan. Compare takes two companies at a time. Every figure in it is the one on each company page, so it is as complete as the award record behind it and no more. A note is plain text, up to 4,000 characters.
