Can you do this work, here, at this level? Ask it once for every pursuit
A notice that needs a Secret facility clearance, a quality certification and a place of business in one state rules out most companies before the first page is read. Facilities and capabilities keeps what your company holds in one record, and reads every pursuit you track against it.
checked before a teaming partner is ever suggested
Sites, equipment, capabilities and coverage
Facilities and capabilities is under Company in the menu. Each facility is a site with its kind, its address and size, what it does, its facility security clearance (the level, the agency, the day it was granted and the next review), the CAGE code at that address, the certifications held there with their expiry dates, its headcount and the files from your library that prove it.
Beside the sites are your equipment, your capabilities in your own words with the NAICS and PSC codes each serves, where you perform (states, metropolitan areas, nationwide or overseas), how many people hold a clearance at each level, and the small business programs you hold beside what your SAM.gov registration says.
- Certifications and reviews that lapse within ninety days are flagged
- Counts of cleared people only, never a name
- Equipment marked when the government furnished it
Space Coast, Florida. Rings: 25 and 50 miles.
Eligible, eligible with a gap, or blocked
Every pursuit you track is checked against the profile and against what your checklist and papers already say: the set-aside against the programs you hold, the clearance a notice names against your highest facility clearance, the place of performance against where you perform, the codes against your capabilities, the certifications a notice names against those you hold and that are in date, the clauses against what you can perform, a lapsed registration, and an OCI review.
Each pursuit comes out eligible, eligible with a gap, or blocked, with the reasons. The missing things that block the most pursuits are counted and named, so the one fix worth the most is at the top. The share of your pursuits you are eligible for is also on the Readiness and compliance overview.
- Reasons link to the screen where each is fixed
- The documents of a notice read for what it requires
- Worked out afresh each time it is opened
a missing requirement costs the bid; an awkward one costs nothing
Kept once, read everywhere
A capability statement, a proposal's facilities section and a teaming partner's questionnaire all ask the same things. Kept here once, with the proof attached from your library, the answer is the same each time and its dates are watched. The compliance factor of Bid / no-bid reads it too, so what blocks a pursuit is said in both places in the same words.
Nothing here is a determination. What the company holds is what the company says it holds, and what a notice needs is read from its words and clauses, which are sometimes incomplete. The screen says both.
Where it stops
Facilities and capabilities comes with every paid plan. It does not apply for a clearance or a certification, and it is not a record any agency relies on: the cognizant agency, the certifying body and SAM.gov are. People are kept as counts at each clearance level and never by name. A notice whose documents are not on file is checked on what it says alone.
