What this code covers

NAICS 334419 is the catch-all for electronic components that do not fit a more specific code. Bare boards, loaded assemblies, connectors, semiconductors, capacitors, resistors and coils each have their own code. What is left includes quartz crystals and crystal assemblies, electronic filters, electronic switches, microwave components, transducers, recording heads, printed circuit laminates, and harness assemblies built for electronic use.

For defense and aerospace buyers that translates into filter assemblies for radios, crystal units for timing, microwave subassemblies for radar and electronic warfare, electronic harnesses for avionics and vehicles, and small piece parts that DLA manages by national stock number. Many of these are DLA Land and Maritime items that trade in small quantities on DIBBS.

What federal buyers typically ask for

Piece parts under this code are often built to a military performance specification with a qualified products list, for example MIL-PRF-3098 for crystal units and MIL-PRF-55310 for oscillators, so the buyer expects a listed source.
