The Space Coast
Launch, spacecraft, aviation and electronics work inside one county, and the machine shops, fabricators, coaters and harness houses that serve it. This is where LastAwarded is built.

The installations
Kennedy Space Center is NASA's launch and ground processing center; its contracting office buys ground support equipment, facilities work, test hardware and a steady stream of small purchases. Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Patrick Space Force Base are run by Space Launch Delta 45, which buys base operations, range support and local services and supplies. The Eastern Range supports government and commercial launches, which pulls a large private supplier base into the same county.
Around the installations sit the airport-adjacent aerospace and electronics employers of Melbourne and Palm Bay, Port Canaveral, and a long tail of small suppliers: machine shops, fabricators, coating and plating houses, harness builders, test labs and repair shops.
What local shops tend to win
Ground support equipment and structures, test fixtures, machined and fabricated spares for range and facility equipment, electronics repair, and small purchases under simplified acquisition. A great deal of the coast's work flows through launch and spacecraft primes rather than direct federal awards, which is why the supplier directory and incumbent profiles matter here as much as the notices.
