The installations
Naval Support Activity Orlando hosts the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division and the Army's program office for simulation, training and instrumentation, with an Army Contracting Command center alongside. The commands buy training devices, simulators, electronics, and the mechanical and fabricated hardware that goes into them, much of it through local and regional suppliers. The Central Florida Research Park concentrates the primes and small businesses that serve those commands.
What local shops tend to win
Fabricated enclosures and structures for trainers, machined parts for simulator hardware, cable and harness work, small electronics assemblies, and repair. Much of the volume flows through primes on large training contracts, so teaming and supplier registration with those primes matter alongside direct notices.
