The examples Census gives include metal pallets, pipe hangers and supports, safes and vaults, permanent metallic magnets, portable metal ladders, industrial patterns, and steel wool.

In practice buyers also use it for welded and machined assemblies that mix several processes, and many small shops register under it because their work does not sit cleanly in 332710 or 332313.
